Needling/Scar Revision:
Any time a needle is inserted into the skin, a wound is created. The body's response to this is to build new collagen and elastin.
Logically you would think this would work on all wrinkles....maybe eliminate them. Actually, by needling, you can soften a deep wrinkle or crease, but as long as you keep using the muscle, you will still have the wrinkle.
When needling works the best:
- Needling works the best on any depression that is not muscle created. An example would be chicken pox scars or acne scars.
- Scars and burns, the skin can be softened and changed. Burns tend to pull and tighten the skin.
- Collagen can pull and tighten the skin as we age. Needling can resurface the top layer of the skin to help eliminage pebbled looking skin.
